Check out the November Fire Council Recording
Guest speaker Bryce Powell from CSFS joined us on November 19th at the 2024 November Fire Council meeting to talk about the relationship between bark beetles, fire mitigation, and safety. He covered identifying different types of beetles, the life span of beetles, and some of the threats to avoid when doing fire mitigation. He also covered some useful tips if you find yourself with beetles on your property. Bryce’s presentation brought up insightful questions and debunked some myths about the relationship of increasing beetle populations when trying to manage land for wildfires.
