Wildfire Adapted Partnership has been providing wildfire education and supporting wildfire preparedness planning and implementation since 2003, and with the wonderful work of our volunteers, we have made great strides in increasing wildfire awareness and keeping lives and properties from being damaged by wildfire.

In 2024, we treated nearly 500 acres, and reimbursed over $500,000 to homeowners and communities to do wildfire mitigation!

Our free site visits are made possible by federal and state grant funding. All of our county coordinators have been through the National Fire Protection Association trainings to help folks understand their wildfire risk. This free service is valued by the state at nearly $300 per visit.

As funding uncertainties continue, WAP is working to continue our cost-share programs and free wildfire site risk assessments that folks have come to rely on.
