WHY GET A COMMUNITY ASSESSMENT…
Community Assessments are a good way for smaller neighborhoods to begin a wildfire community protection plan. Wildfire Adapted Partnership assists Neighborhood Ambassadors in arranging for 1-2 of our partners (BLM, CSFS, or local fire department) to do a drive through or walk through of their neighborhood. The community receives a written report, complete with pictures, and recommendations to get the community started on their wildfire preparedness efforts. To register for national Firewise USA® status, Community Assessments or Colorado Wildfire Protection Plans are required.
